About Scoop
Scoop's stage show combines conjuring with comedy, mind control, danger, juggling and escapology to create a truly unforgettable experience. His close up performances make the impossible happen right under people's noses, sometimes even in their own hands, all with a fun cheeky-chappy presentation. His material is aimed at adults but is family friendly so giggles and gasps will be guaranteed from young and old. Scoop honed his skills during nine years as resident jester and magician at Camelot Theme Park and Park Hall Hotel in Lancashire performing for crowds ranging from small handfuls up to 3,000 people from small children to cocktail parties and everything in between. He now performs at holiday parks, weddings and corporate events all over the country. He has entertained the England, and Manchester City football teams as well as the stars of Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks and his performances have featured on programmes for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Scoop has also worked all over the UK and beyond for companies such as Brittany Ferries, Center Parcs, Hilton Hotels UK, Haven, Manchester United, O2 and HSBC alongside entertainers like pop star Ella Henderson, comedians Rob Brydon and Jason Manford and fellow magician Dynamo. He has even performed for The Magic Circle and produces and stars in his own theatre shows.
What to expect
Cabaret: Scoop opens by turning a lit candle into a white silk right before your eyes, another candle turns into a real dove which then disappears and reappears in a spectator's hands. He then warms up, literally, with comedy fire juggling, followed by body burns and fire eating. (non fire option available) For his next trick he loses someone's jewellery and it turns up in a very surprising place. Then with the help of a little 'suggestion' his volunteers start literally jumping out of their seats. Next follows a spooky levitation before Scoop attempts to break Houdini's record for escaping a straight jacket while simultaneously locating a selected card with hilarious results. Finally he opens an envelope that has been on view the entire show to reveal his impossible foreknowledge. Is it psychic power? Psychological control? Or is everything we do already written in the stars? Close Up: Scoop has a wide array of stunning tricks involving playing cards, cups and balls, borrowed objects and various other items. You will witness impossible changes, predictions levitations and even wads of money appearing by magic!
